I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve shared a winter wardrobe here! I know it’s technically been winter for almost three weeks, and it’s felt like winter even longer. I’ve just been putting off the wardrobe switch because of all the holiday craziness. But now that it’s done, I’m excited to be wearing my winter wardrobe.
My wardrobe has been getting lots of major updates in the past few months. It had been a long time since I really gone clothes shopping in a long time. I was holding off because I kept getting pregnant and my size kept fluctuating (and let’s be real… I was also hoping to drop a few sizes before refreshing my wardrobe).
But last spring I discovered LuLaRoe. I love this clothing line for so many reasons! One of my main reasons is that the clothes are fantastic for capsule wardrobes. But another reason is that most people can actually wear multiple sizes in each style. That’s super convenient for someone like me, who plans/hopes to lose weight but doesn’t want to have to buy a whole new wardrobe too.
Just as an example, I’ve got three LuLaRoe Nicole Dresses in my wardrobe this winter. Technically, according to LuLaRoe’s size charts, I wear a medium. But two of the ones I’m wearing this season are size large and one is an extra large. And they all fit a little differently, but none of them looks too big or like I’m not wearing the right size. The same goes with the Carly dress. I can wear four different sizes in that dress!
Speaking of dresses, I’m wearing SEVEN different dresses this winter. That’s one major change in my wardrobe since discovering LuLaRoe. I wear a LOT more dresses and skirts. I love that I can feel dressy and still be comfy. Like, seriously comfy. LuLaRoe dresses are way more comfortable than wearing jeans and a t-shirt, which used to be my go-to comfy outfit!
With all this talk of dresses, I suppose there’s no better place to begin. Here are the dresses I’m wearing this winter:

While I’ve got a dress for every day of the week, I’m not wearing dresses exclusively this winter. I’m including plenty of tops and bottoms too. You’ll notice with my tops that I really love the LuLaRoe Irma! It was designed to be a perfect match for leggings, but I love to wear it other ways too. One of my favorites is with skinny jeans. It’s also super cute with skirts! The Randy is the raglan (baseball style) top, which is a perfect match for jeans when I want to dress down. And, of course, I’ve got to include a cute graphic tee.

And, of course, I’ve got to have several layering pieces. I love layering pieces because they help give outfits a polished look. And they help extend your wardrobe because you can use layering pieces to change up an outfit and make it look completely different. But secretly, my favorite thing about these layering pieces is that they are comfy and and add warmth! Because some days it is literally below zero here. And I just can’t when it’s that cold.
Last but not least, shoes. Y’all, I can’t even tell you how giddy I am over these black combat boots I got at Target. I was a teenager in the 90s. And while I was fully into the Doc Marten’s craze (I don’t even know how many pairs I owned), I never did get to have a pair of combat boots. I am just loving that 90s fashion is coming back around! Mostly because I never completely stopped wearing 90s styles and now I’m just being fashionable instead of being that weird lady who still wears the stuff she wore in high school. But seriously, I’ll never wear the JNCO’s again. I promise.
